I didn’t try it, but I not... read more For breakfast, I tried their cheese grits, which were outstanding. They were also running a special on bacon biscuits for just $0.99. I didn’t try it, but I noticed they were generous with the bacon. For lunch, I wanted to sample both the fish and the livers and gizzards, but unfortunately, they didn’t offer a meal that included both. The staff member informed me that I could create my own meal, so I did just that. The fish was unlike any I’ve had before; it was breaded with a cornmeal coating and fried to perfection—delicious! As for the livers and gizzards, well, you either love them or you don’t, and I certainly do. The collard greens were decent, but I’ve had much better elsewhere. Overall, it’s a charming little place to grab a bite if you find yourself in a remote area.

I ordered the fried chicken livers with mashed potatoes, and a delightful young woman made a fresh batch just for me. They were the best I've had in over a decade—just like my grandmother used to make. My mom tried the smothered chicken with rice and absolutely adored it! I'm not certain if they sell drinks, but they are located inside a convenience store. Be sure to stop by whenever you get the chance!
