Unbelievably varied menu with various regional meats. These were our selections for each night: Smoked shoulder pork with sweet potatoes, onions plums and whole cane...sugar; Grilled beef tenderloin in bacon with garlic scalloped potatoes and pepper sauce. Sautéed shrimp in cognac with basmati rice; Rabbit stew in white wine with mushrooms, creamed carrots, almond biscuit and kummel liqueur Breaded eye of round steak with baked potatoes green leaves and tomato; and, leg of lamb cappellettis, dates, pistachios in smoked eggplant sauce, baked tomatoes and mushrooms. Most excellent. Our second visit there was a party of eating when we were seated but the delivery time was not impacted. Great staff.

What could be better than leaving your hotel room and going downstairs to the lobby restaurant for dinner? Going to a hotel restaurant that is actually very goo... read more What could be better than leaving your hotel room and going downstairs to the lobby restaurant for dinner? Going to a hotel restaurant that is actually very good and you could go to every night of your stay, if you so wish! This is Coiron....We were pleasantly surprised that a restaurant in Puerto Madryn, Argentina could maintain a first class menu, wine list (though how could you go wrong in Argentina with wine and excellent service. The meals were prepared in a sophisticated fashion with all fresh ingredients. Appetizers were interesting AND tasty and desserts were quite good. Of course, the cafe con leche was superb. Although the hotel is not located centrally in the town of Puerto Madryn and is not around the corner from other hotels, it is certainly worth the effort. And, truthfully, Puerto Madryn is rather small--it's not even a cab ride. Very good meal.

Puerto Madrid is not a food town, a we actually had a hard time finding decent places to eat. Coiron was one of the...those decent places. We stayed at Dazzler hotel for five days and regretted that we didn't tried their restaurant before the last night.
