I had the lunch menu with my family. Garbanzo con chorizo didn't taste that bad, but the broth was so watery. The meatballs didn't have much flavor and also with some water around it (worse, because it came with fries that soaked in it). The bolognese pasta looked better, but the sauce tasted industrialized. The secreto didn't taste so well neither. Dessert was fresh fruit or industrialized ice-cream cone.
Traditionel small Taberna. Very god value for money. The whole family ate lunch here sitting outside in the sun. Nice place. Quick and good service.
This small neighborhood place offers a reasonable menu del día that met my expectations on our first day in Madrid. The standout was my first course, an incredibly good stew of garbanzos and chorizo with just enough spice to make it really interesting. The main meat course was rather dry, and the potatoes were dull. Beer and wine were good and quite welcome additions, and a nice cafe rounded out the meal. The service was passable. The restaurant is well located, just a few blocks fro the Reina Sofia.
Really nice and charming and quiet place to have breakfast with small kids. Away from Rush. Staff is really Nice and helpful.
