It's our 1st trip to Madrid and this was our 1st meal in the city.....the standard is... read more We (group of 5 friends) came across this restaurant while walking around. It's our 1st trip to Madrid and this was our 1st meal in the city.....the standard is now very high. We loved the decor and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fab. We couldve stayed all afternoon, it was just so chilled. Definitely worth a visit.

Situated in a great location near Sol and Plaza Mayor, la Revoltosa offers a chill and cozy atmosphere, perfect to hang out with friends or relax after visiting... read more Situated in a great location near Sol and Plaza Mayor, la Revoltosa offers a chill and cozy atmosphere, perfect to hang out with friends or relax after visiting the city. The staff is very welcoming, smiling and makes an effort to accommodate tourists who don’t speak Spanish, which is greatly appreciated. The food itself is delicious and features traditional Spanish dishes with a modern twist which gives customers a great insight into the country’s gastronomy (special mention to the cocktails which are very tasty, innovative and complement the food perfectly). I would particularly recommend going for brunch on Sunday as the bar puts on a Flamenco show which is a great way to experience the rich culture of Madrid and Spain in general.

I also enjoyed the sobrasada filled chipirones. Their bar is perfectly stocked for all needs and the staff is very friendly!

How lovely: service was lovely, the little bites were lovely and the wine chilled…what else do you need at 7pm after few hours sightseeing!!!
