Stopped here for an espresso and a sparkling water after a hot day in Madrid. Was a nice place to cool off and relax. Opening time at this location was 9:00 A.M., we came at 8:58 AM to the door and they were so rude telling us they were still close as they shut down back again... read more Opening time at this location was 9:00 A.M., we came at 8:58 AM to the door and they were so rude telling us they were still close as they shut down back again the door on our faces just to open back again 3 minutes later, service needs to be better as they lost a client today that traveled abroad and just wanted to have coffee and breakfast. We did not felt welcome by this rude staff.

The... read more Corner pastry shop very close to the Retiro park and in a center avenue. Very busy among local people and they have a few tables inside and a small terrace. The staff was friendly and professional, helped us to find a table (we had twin stroller). You can find sweet and savory, i had a small strawberry cake with a cappuccino. The cake was fresh and tasty, and not that sweet. The atmosphere was very cozy, and it was enjoyable to be there.
