Went there guided by social media publicity of best place for cocido madrileño in town . Their cocido is abundant; unsure if really the best, but good in general . Price is Ok , in the pricey side. Our waitress was attentive. Good atmosphere. Meal type: Lunch Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Overpriced. Average quality. Friendly service. Too salty. Meat was par. Presentation is bla. Had their special world famous dish and it was edible. For €20+ per person, I feel this price is unjustified I 'm not sure how this place has sustained a 4.5 star rating. It 's nothing special and their star dish is average at BEST. I literally travel just to eat; thankfully this was a work dinner I still feel bad I wasted my companies ' money. I would not recommend this establishment. Take your money elsewhere.
Four of us went here having read it was the best place in Madrid for Cocido Madrileño . We decided to have the set menu: 4 dishes, bread, a drink and small tapas at a total cost of 28€. We were also given a complimentary liqueur afterwards. We really enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly. The place was packed with locals, always a good sign, and we were made to feel vey welcome, so much so that we went back that evening for drinks. Would highly recommend if you 're looking for the real experience.
This was recommended but we didn't know that it was going to be this very traditional Madrid type of food, which 6 of us agreed was awful. Cabbage, chick peas, very salty ham, tasteless chicken, chunks of pork fat.... The wine was good and good value, needed it to tackle the food. We left hungry. But if you like this, it was probably well done and we liked the atmosphere.
