I really hoped to enjoy it more, because I loved the setting and I liked the hosts, who appeared to be a husband and wife team. Maybe another dish would have been better. There were quite a few locals there who seemed to be regulars, after all. Nevertheless, given the plethora of options in this area of Madrid, I doubt I'll go back.

We started with two large glasses of refreshing 'summer wine '. For starters: a gazpacho with all the trimmings and a delicious 'revuelto de setas ' (mushrooms with scrambled eggs). Main courses were bass as the fish of the day and san jacobitos (small slices of ham with cheese in the middle and fried in crispy breadcrumbs), both with salad. We opted for two iced coffees instead of dessert. Total for two: excellent value at 20 euro.
