We were booked for lunch and the waiter came over and we explained we didn't speak Spanish. He handed is menus and shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We sat there for 15 minutes and he never came near us again so we had to leave.
There are quite some restaurants that offer similar food selection, a limited array of typical Spanish food from certain areas of the country. The overall quality of the food is Ok, but certain details won't allow me to give them a 4th star rating, like the frozen fries ruining my sirloin steak (that was disappointing). Service is far from being perfect, it is just correct but slow reacting. One thing I enjoyed was the burratta salad made out of fresh mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. Nothing special for the rest of dishes, the food is good and that's it.
Nice place, easy access very polite personnel. During lunch time you can enjoy very nice dishes typically from Madrid. For dinner you enjoy excellent meat dishes.
Classical Spanish food served in a very good way, within a modern, comfortable and big place. We tasted and shared very typical tapas: small green beans with egg and bacon, steak tartare with toasted bread, fried eggplants with pink cream and bacon, fois gras with egg and potatoes. We also had a tris of homemade cakes: the chocolate death (rate 9), cheese cake (rate 8) and toffee explosion (rate 10 cum laude). Wine choice is excellent. Eventually we enjoyed a very well prepared gin-tonic; first of all you can choose the combination of gin (10+ brands) and the tonic water (3 brands); then the drink is prepared using balloon glasses and directly at the table and in such a smooth way to avoid tonic water bubbles explosion. Be back at the first occasion.
