Getting to the maruca is like getting to the house of some friends in santander, because the space is cozy and its open and modern time and the very friendly service. homemade food, from the earth, fresh and exquisite; anchovies of saints, libana, rage of santander, broken eggs, salmon cake and avocado, rice, buf rich all! the reservation is obligated, since its opening in October is a hot place of the premises. unique experience in madrid I will return!
Of the same owners of local celebrities both in Madrid and in santander. spacious and elegant place in the center of the street. Very lively! the menu jota and appropriate for good food or cantabrian products of the night as expected!
I had read several positive things about the restaurant the maruca as during our visit to madrid we thought it was time to tachar this restaurant on the wish list. We don't call too much an antelance, a couple of dass, and they gave us the time to go, one Sunday at a time before starting with the description of the dishes to say that I had read that the rations were of a size to share between three or four people. My personal experience is that three is the maximum, which for four is little more than a pair of bites. It was a meal for people and we asked for everything to share *we paid the cost of this food was for the whole person and for the person without including drinks (wine, water, coffee, beers, sodas, drinks *we eat
We were a group of 5 people. Great location, lovely atmosphere, good service. Excellent starters, bur avoid the steaks which in our case were tuff, rough and very chewy.
The food was absolutely amazing, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. We were speaking English, and at first our waiter simply ignored us. I tried to get his attention several times, but he kept turning away and clearly waited for another waiter to assist us instead. That would have been completely understandable if he had just said, “I’m sorry, I can’t serve you.” Instead, he chose to ignore us altogether. Some of our dishes were forgotten, and the food took a very long time to arrive. We had to remind the staff several times about our order.
