I visited DSTagE with my family on our vacation in Madrid this was our anniversary dinner. The service, presentation, creativity were all beyond reproach. The only thing that was missing was actual tasty food! I went in expecting to be blown away; but of the 22 courses of the meal, only one was genuinely delicious (mushroom soup) and the rest ranged from decent to outright inedible. My wife ended up leaving several dishes on the plate barely touched. Creativity got in the way of actual flavor. But this is FOOD if there's no good flavor, then what's the point?! Terrible experience. The worst nightmare. I went there with my fiance and ordered 22-course menu. We added wine pairing to anticipate for the upmost experience. Firstly, most food had strong taste and we could barely eat half way, and the taste only got stronger while some dishes made of fish and fermented smelled and tasted fishy. Secondly, the service was really unacceptable . A waiter accidentally knocked down a cup of white wine onto my fiancé, splitting the wine and broken glass all over onto my fiancé’s body. He got all wet and shirt soaked in wine, and there were still more than half of the courses not served yet. The waiters only said sorry once and immediately left, leaving both of us sitting there in shock. We both have no napkins and not dare to move with all the broken glass pieces on our feet and the floor. After a while, another waiter came back with two towels for us cleaning by ourselves, which were useless given that my fiancé’s shirt was fully wet. He only apologised once more, without any compensation or further following up. The main chef greeted every table and chatted with them for a long time, except our table. He did not even greet us or said goodbye when we left. We have never experienced such terrible services even in normal restaurants, not to mention this is a two stars Michelin. Totally disappointed and highly not recommend anyone to come, unless you would like to try such unique experiences. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
An absolutely unforgettable adventure from start to finish. Dstage is a brilliantly orchestrated experience that plays with your perceptions in the most masterful way. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted with a very warm and welcoming smile. The service is a big part of the magic here; the staff isn't just friendly, they are passionate, knowledgeable, and the execution throughout the evening was absolutely flawless. Every single dish that arrived at our table was an innovative work of art, and we had 22 courses. (Without spoiling too much), each bite challenges your senses. The joy of discovery is a huge part of what makes this place so special. For anyone who appreciates creativity and innovation served by a team that clearly loves what they do, Dstage is an absolute must. We have enjoyed for the third time this unique experience created by Diego Guerrero. The welcoming atmosphere, the completely open kitchen, the ability to watch the Chef as he concentrates on the preparation of each dish and, of course, the unique and surprising flavours that Diego gives to our palate, make you want this moment to never end.
