My friend and I arrived here at 1:30 for lunch. I work in the area and was interested in trying their famous patatas bravas. We were seated at a table upstairs and ordered some wine that was served with olives almost immediately. The area was...spacious, clean, and well decorated. We ordered the patatas bravas (obviously), jamon/ham croquettes, and an order of calamari all to share and then a pincho/slice of tortilla for me. We wanted half rations of the plates, but I think half rations are only available at the bar downstairs. The bravas arrived after about ten minutes with the croqeuttes (11 pieces, although the serving says 10). The potatoes were absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the slight spiciness of the bravas sauce. We both agreed that the potatoes actually tasted like potatoes, unlike other places where they potatoes are basically just fries. We both enjoyed the croquettes as well. We had to ask the server about what happened to our calamari and tortilla because it still hadn't arrived. Another five/ten minutes later and they were both served. The calamari was really, really good. The pinch/slice of tortilla was okay and the bread it was served with was really quite terrible. The tortilla was large and extremely oily, the bread was dry. We both agreed that the wine was surprisingly good and that the meal/experience was pleasant overall. We spent 30 euros total and were completely full! We will definitely be back for the patatas bravas.
