The Croquetas Carabinero were won... read more This is a very nice little family restaurant. We had the patatas bravas, the quintessential Spanish dish, they were very good. The Croquetas Carabinero were wonderful, if you have never had them, you must. If you are in Madrid, you will find a fine example here. The Boquerones Fritos were tasty and and crispy. The gazpacho was good, not great, but good. Coupled with a Botella Rioja. It is clearly a restaurant that locals, whole families celebrate food, not an special but the occasion that good food creates.

Th... read more Once per year we are going to Madrid for holidays. Every single time we are visiting this place. I do not know if it is the location or the friendly service. They really make you feel home! In the morning you can sit outside and for less than 5 euros you can have a good breakfast: a big bocadillo (with tortilla, serrano, fish, etc etc), fresh orange juice, coffee and different pastries. It is a nice way of starting your day in Madrid! For lunch there is a Menu del dia, with fresh and tasty products. There is a lot of choice: fish, meat, pork, etc. Prices are also very convenient. If it is too hot outside, you can sit inside where the A/C works perfectly! In the evening you can have tapas and canas. You can choose where to have them, even outside or inside. I strongly recommend this place. Toilets are clean! It is located in a nice area close to Avenida de America station and Diego de Leon subway. You would not regret it. And like us, you will be having all your meals here!
