It's been a while since our last visit. We only come to Madison for football weekends, but we had a great experience. The thin crust pizza was fantastic, and the ambiance was wonderfully cozy. We will definitely be returning! View all feedback.

I really wish I liked this place. Great location, fun atmosphere and has the potential to be great. I was really hoping to like the food here but it was bad. I got the mushroom spaghetti and it tasted like they mixed watered down Ragu and a can of 89¢ mushrooms together and dumped it on cold spaghetti noodles. We recently joined friends for dinner outdoors at Paisan's and we tried their pizza. It's fabulous! We really enjoyed the crust with the cornmeal on the bottom fabulous! We had the vegetarian pesto pizza and I can't wait to have it again! I'm kicking myself having lived in Madison on and off for the past 30 years, this is the first time I have had pizza at Paisan's, what a mistake!
My husband, granddaughters and I were driving through Madison and decided to have lunch at Paisan’s. Since our granddaughters are unvaccinated (9), we needed to sit outside. We had a beautiful view of the lake, but it was so hot and humid it was unbearable. They didn’t have one umbrellas outside, and the only spot of shade was near the door. When we moved our table a little closer to the shade, a manager came out and told us we couldn’t sit there. We complained about the lack of shade and umbrellas. He told us to sit inside if we didn’t like it out there. We told him it was safer for our granddaughters outside. He just said to move the table. We weren’t blocking a door. In fact, all other people that went to the patio to sit also complained of the lack of shade/umbrella. We moved and ordered. The food lacked flavor. I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich. It was a piece of broiled chicken with some tomato sauce on top. They put shredded cheese on top of that, but the sandwich wasn’t very cold and it never melted the cheese. SAVE YOURSELF! Don’t go there. It’s not worth the money.
Service was great, atmosphere is always good, and the drinks were very good. Had the Chicken Alfredo and was disappointed because the sauce was pretty runny and it didn't have a lot of flavor. First time my food has been subpar here.

I really wanted to like this place but it was not good and I hope they hire a chef soon because I want to see the place thrive.

Really disappointing. Great location, but food was boring and Bland. Supposedly fresh pasta was simply not, had to ask for Parm and got small packages....
This is a beautiful Italian restaurant right on Lake Monona with a beautiful view of the lake. This restaurant is much bigger than what it would seem...
Service was BEYOND COMPARE!! All but the main table hostess were impeccable. My BF and I were looking for the Workday retreat...

Went to Paisan's for lunch before a show at the Overture Center.
I came for dinner and had a drink at the bar firstThe bar area is set up nicely and a fun spot for a before dinner drink.
I have been here for a birthday party and a date nightEach time on the outdoor patio, each time on a gorgeous evening.
