Was User at Nook a mag?
We were a group of eight happy, hungry friends, and we all loved Nook, a fantastic new restaurant on Madison's east side. Noah was our knowledgeable and enthusiastic host and chef, presenting each surprise course with a sense of humor and flair. While not every dish was a complete hit, each was crafted with a lighthearted and creative spirit. We will definitely return for more experiences at Nook, which is perfect fo... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Nook:
The atmosphere was unique and captivating. I really enjoyed dining there with a small group at a quirky table. The food was not only excellent but also creatively prepared. The drink pairings were outstanding as well. View all feedback.
I’ve been twice and food is the best I’ve ever had. Very nice people, both the service to the chefs. The whole experience is a great time, and I genuinely smiled nearly the whole time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I had an absolutely amazing experience at Nook! The food was exceptional, and although not every single one of the 13 courses turned out to be our favorite—after all, it's hard for every course to wow us—the dishes were all intriguing and made us eager for more bites. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between laid-back and cozy, providing a relaxed atmosphere while the servers worked incredibly hard to deliver top-notch service. A nice bonus was that my husband arrived 45 minutes late due to a last-minute babysitter issue, but Chef Noah and the team at Nook went out of their way to bring him up to speed on all the courses without us asking. This thoughtful gesture was unexpected and greatly appreciated. We will definitely return for another special date night in the future. We'll be reminiscing about the peanut butter and jelly, pine bark, and squid courses for months to come!
Overall, we got to taste a variety of dishes, although some were quite salty, and a few had only a single ingredient. For example, my wife had a hard time with the cucumber salad, but I found it acceptable. So, preferences can definitely vary. All the dishes looked appealing, and the owner shared the stories and ingredients behind each dish in a fun and friendly way. I think they only accommodate about 12 guests a day, making for a communal dining experience. The desserts were delightful, but my wife was so full she regretted not being able to finish them. I also tried a tea that was as green as miraculous seaweed, and it was surprisingly tasty. Overall, there were many uniquely flavored dishes that I had never encountered before, making for a stimulating and memorable dining experience. It was truly interesting!
At Nook, every bite is a delightful pun! With just 14 seats, it feels like a cozy soup pot where everyone is simmering in good vibes. We visited to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary, and Nook truly offered a slice of romantic perfection! We weren't just fed; we were taken on an anniversary adventure. If you're looking to create cherished memories and add some flavor to your special day, Nook is the place for you. We didn't just celebrate; we savored every moment of the experience. Cheers to love and delicious dishes! Their version of PB&J? I can't keep it a secret—it's absolutely bursting with flavor! Across 13 mouthwatering courses, I wasn't just full—I was overwhelmed with a feast of emotions. The chef's recipe for success goes beyond perfect seasoning; it's sprinkled with humor too. And the staff? They don’t just serve food; they provide an exceptional experience with a generous dose of charm. So, if you're seeking a spot where the stakes are high and the puns are even higher, Nook is the ultimate foodie destination. Remember, it’s not merely about satisfying your appetite; it’s about transporting you into a culinary journey! Go ahead and indulge in the Nook experience. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
One of the best culinary experiences you can have in the area. Our meal was a 14 course meal with wine parings. The food was excellent and brought your senses to life. Courses are colorful, artistic, fragrant, and come with a short story about the food and wine. The menu does change and many local foods are used. The staff is outstanding friendly and fun making the dinner atmosphere enjoyable by the room. One key feature is the small crowd size, our party had 12 people. The dishes are prepared in the open so you can watch and ask questions. Dietary restrictions: They accomidatel
