I opted for two sides, and I was delighted with the green beans, which were cooked down with meat and a touch of sugar, and the mac and cheese, which was indulgently gooey with a thick, crispy layer of toasted cheese on top. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and the baked beans on the side were clearly made from scratch, not canned—they were packed with great flavor and had a wonderful texture. The hot dog was well grilled and had a satisfying snap to the casing. I also appreciated the sauce selection; you could choose your favorite and load up your sandwich as you liked. The traditional sauce was flavorful and a solid choice for basic BBQ. I tried the hickory sauce, which had a nice smoky flavor, and the apple BBQ sauce, which offered a tangy sweetness with unique spices; I detected hints of clove or cinnamon. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was fantastic, and we felt great supporting a local business committed to serving locally sourced food!
