Mad Shawarma
Description
Nestled in Madison's West side, this new Mediterranean gem captivates diners with its cozy atmosphere and friendly service. While some dishes might miss the mark—like the tough meat and frozen fries—the roasted cauliflower sandwich has garnered praise, especially among vegetarians and vegans. The falafel balls and hummus stand out for their flavor, and the affordable prices add to the appeal. Families appreciate the children's play area, making it a hit for all ages. Overall, the restaurant promises a delightful dining experience with a few areas for improvement, ensuring a return visit for many.

The food here is excellent! I had never tried shawarma before, but I've always wanted to since I saw The Avengers. The service is friendly and prompt. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food itself is fantastic. It's also a great place for kids, with a designated play area for them. If you're in the Madison area, you definitely need to give this place a try!
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. Our kids had a blast in the play area. For vegetarians and vegans, the sandwich with roasted cauliflower is incredibly delicious and unlike anything I've tried at other Mediterranean restaurants. The French fries are exceptional as well. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The hummus is outstanding, and you can really taste the quality of the olive oil they use. We will definitely return!
I visited this restaurant for lunch recently and absolutely loved it! I ordered falafel, which was incredibly fresh and had a perfect crispy texture on the outside. Although I didn't try the vegetarian plate, my friend did and raved about it. The highlight of the meal was the baklava—it was exquisitely crispy and flaky, with just the right amount of honey sweetness. There wasn't a hint of sogginess! I will definitely be returning here.
Excellent food at affordable prices. Staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable with a children's play area. I tried the falafel pita which comes with fries. The fries were alright but the pita was great. The tzatziki sauce, which comes in the pita, had a fresh/tangy flavor. Will be back to try the traditional style instead of sandwich.
Probably the best Shawarma place around. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone. The only downside is the parking, the entire area over there doesn't really have enough of it. So it can be a pain to find parking, not really there fault though.
