**Brasserie V: A Mixed Experience** At Brasserie V, patrons can indulge in an impressive beer selection while enjoying a vibrant atmosphere, especially with open-air seating on pleasant days. However, the culinary offerings seem to divide opinions. While some dishes, like the smoked wings and brisket sandwich, receive high praise for their flavor and creativity, others fall short, with reports of dry burgers, soggy frites, and poorly conceived entrees. Service stands out positively, with friendly staff and effective assistance. Overall, for a satisfying experience, it seems the recommendation is to visit for drinks and light bites rather than a full meal.
The decor of the place has a hall-like vibe, featuring long communal tables along with some regular tables and several outdoor seating areas. While I’m waiting for my son’s car to get an oil change today, I’m making some progress on clearing out my unfinished review drafts—34 left to tackle after this one! I’ve sampled a few items from the menu. The Brussels sprouts were a popular choice, but they didn't quite suit my taste. The cheese curds were enjoyable, although I still think Craftsman takes the crown in that category. The tacos were decent, but I struggled to pick a favorite. I wasn’t particularly keen on the fish taco, probably because it was deep-fried—an ironic comment considering I just praised the cheese curds. The charcuterie board stands out as one of my favorite dishes from my visits. The brisket sandwich was divine, and the chicken wings were phenomenal, making me feel like I was soaring. I tried the beet salad, which I wouldn’t have ordered on my own, but my ex had chosen it, and it looked too pretty not to sample. I wanted to finish her portion, but she wouldn’t allow it. I can’t recall what else I ordered, but it clearly didn’t leave a strong impression. This restaurant is a popular spot for good reason!
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently and it was a delightful experience. I enjoyed a meal here, and I found the prices to be quite reasonable, falling in the range of $10 to $20 per person. If you visit, I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips – it was absolutely fantastic! Overall, a great place to eat that offers a good value for your money.
The sour flavors were fantastic, but I was really disappointed that they didn't offer tasting flights.
The beer selection is phenomenal. I like that you can go in grab your drink and the server brings the appropriate glassware. I had the turkey prosciutto. It was jammed packed with turkey and smeared with apple butter a great twist! The sourdoughbread was toasted perfectly and delicious! All served on a casual metal lunch tray. The flavor of the brussel sprouts wastangy and delicious but they were tough and could have been cooked a little longer. The restaurant was clean and the stafffriendly. The hostesses last night was warm and engaging! I would definitely recommend trying them!
I have always heard good things about this place and finally decided to stop in with my partner and had a stellar lunch outing. Our server was phenomenal the only complaint was that we received our appetizers before our beverages, although I 'm still notsure whether or not we should have self served , as all their drinks are available in a refrigerated beer shop style case forpeople to purchase. It 'd be nice if the serving staff mentioned if it was okay to just grab your own or if that 's expected. Itseems like more of a communal place so I 'm sure it 'd probably be fine. For my lunch I had a trio of tacos and some fries andboth were fantastic. We will definitely be back, hopefully bringing some friends!
