We had fresh baked bread and the meal got better and better from there. I had the best duck I have ever had. I do not usually do this but I went to the back and thanked the chef for his amazing dish. The service is superb. and all the servers work like a team to make sure your dining experience is fantastic. We were really impressed. I was also amazed by their dedication to sustainability even with the soap they have in the ladies next to a fresh bouquet of roses. Dinner is a bit expensive the good news is they are also a market so they have things to go that fit any budget. Wonderful experience!

Stopped in and was g... read more I was recently working in and around this restaurant, it's somewhere I've been excited to try. However, I will not be spending a dime here. Stopped in and was greeted IMMEDIATELY by anger. The gal running the place went out of her way to treat us secondrate, all the while we remained calm, professional and kind (she was not able to reciprocate this). It was a really sadexperience, not so much that I won't be able to try this place (there's PLENTY of great restaurants that have higher values) butthe fact that in Madison, there are people that still act this way.

There were only two tables, including ours so 4 customers total in the entire restaurant. Still, it took over 45 minutes to get our meal, which was not that tasty anddefinitely not worth the money. (Our server was good, though. This is the second time I've eaten at Field Table. The first waslast August. The food was tasty but expensive that time, and the service was slow. There are so many good places to eat inMadison; spend your money elsewhere.

Glasses of wine we're well chosen. Food was delicious. The let down for mewas service. Food was a bit slow. It seemed like they were understaffed on a Saturday night which just seems silly. This placecan be great but it hasn't quite hit it's stride.

They have an extensive wine and spirits menu, and the cocktails were well-made. The food was tasty, but the service left much to be desired. Our meals took a long time to arrive, and it seemed they were understaffed on a busy Saturday evening, which was frustrating. This restaurant has great potential but still needs to iron out a few issues.
