We have visited this inn multiple ti... read more This inn is located on a wooded hillside above the Ohio River in an Indiana State Park, making it a wonderful getaway spot. We have visited this inn multiple times over the years and have always had a great experience. Despite some changes due to the pandemic, the inn remains a great place to stay and unwind. The new Indiana-made mattresses are incredibly comfortable and each room is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. We prefer the peace and quiet of the Parkside rooms, which are conveniently located near the indoor pool, hot tub, lobby, gift shop, and dining room. The staff at the inn are always friendly and helpful. This inn has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, including a peaceful location near Madison, opportunities for hiking in natural areas, a nice dining room, a clean and underused pool, and safe and comfortable rooms for the night. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We would rate the service 5 out of 5.

The most notable problem is the noxious odor in the rooms that we booked all of them had a strong moldy smell coming from the AC and we found a sock under the sheets of one bed leading us to believe the beds had not been made.Rooms: Sock found under the sheets, centipede crawling around, very noxious odor in our 3 rooms.Food drinks: They are understaffed so service was slow and poor.

Confronted the front desk, they switched us rooms but refused to allow us to use the washing machine for our clothes as to not spread bugs to the new room or my home also refused to pay for the clothes to be taken to a laundromat. Pretty much said that it's not their problem if bedbugs from their room spread to my home.They had housekeeping go into the room to look for bugs. Not a professional. Told me I'm lying about the bugs and bug droppings I found all over the room. Told us we are bot welcome back. I dint want to come back you have bed bugs!!!
