I'm ashamed to say this is my first time here and it's right in my neighborhood. We went for Burger week and was it worth it. The Nebraska burger, white aged cheddar, caramelized onions in brown sugar on a pretzel bun. Simply delicious. For dessert we had the Caramel Apple Bierock served with a side of caramel sauce. Needless to say, this is my new favorite neighborhood bar. Great service. View all feedback.

The beer selection is excellent! The food was quite flavorful as well. The bacon-wrapped dates were particularly delightful, and the signature meat pie, Bierock, was very enjoyable. Their signature burger was also tasty. It's a lovely little place with great service and a nice atmosphere.
The food here is outstanding, and the chef is amazing! Make sure to have Cordel in the kitchen during your visit – you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend this place!

My favorite restaurant in Madison! The bierocks are delicious, and they have an extensive beer selection. They are also very generous with their sauces. There's live music every week and a variety of quirky events. The apple bierock is hands down the best dessert in Madison. I come here with my husband often, and each visit is a wonderful experience. I had the chance to dine in for lunch and my experience was delightful! The price per person ranged from $20 to $30, which felt reasonable for the quality of the meal. I highly recommend trying the Potato Wedges, Spiced Popcorn, and The Classic Bierock – they were all exceptional!
One of my favorite places. It’s never been too busy when I’ve gone, but it should be. I always get a classic bierock and a beer of some kind. They have a great beer selection and their prices are very reasonable. Bierocks are delicious and you can’t get them anywhere else in Madison as far as I know. Sides are good. They have a lot of events here too but I’ve never been able to go to them. They have board games too to play. Good place to meet someone to talk over food and drink.
The lamb bierock and fries were absolutely delicious! While the service was a bit slow for a busy Thursday night, it was completely understandable considering the type of food and the number of people there for trivia. After landing at the airport, we were looking for a place to eat, and this restaurant was a great find! It's close by and absolutely delicious! I remember my mom making bierocks when I was growing up, and it's been a while since I've made them myself. Don’t be put off by the sauerkraut in the classic version; it's quite subtle. The potato salad and kettle chips were excellent, and they had a solid selection of beers. Overall, it was a wonderful discovery, and Crystal provided really great service!
We went in for an appetizer and a couple of beers . The appetizers were a bit small, For the price, but they tasted good.We had some wisconsin brews that were tasty!Food: 4/5
A heads-up for my neurodivergent friends: the atmosphere loses a point because it got very loud very quickly, thanks to the industrial-style design that lacked any soundproofing. I have sensory sensitivities, and it was overwhelming. However, that won't deter me from returning—I'm just grateful I had my sensory earplugs with me.
The classic bierock is damn too tasty!
**Vegetarian options:** Most appetizers, some bierocks (clearly marked), and the dessert selections are great (I highly recommend trying them!). **Parking:** Occasionally, finding a parking spot can be challenging, particularly when there are events at Mallard's, but there’s usually always a place to park. **Dietary restrictions:** Bierock offers a gluten-sensitive crust option that is both crispy and tasty. However, note that it’s not a gluten-free kitchen, so if you have a severe allergy or sensitivity to trace amounts, it may not be the safest choice. They also have excellent vegetarian options available.

A friend recommended the food here and it did not disappoint! I didn't know what a Bierock was so ordering them was a given. I ordered the Lamb Bierock and my friend ordered the Southwest Bierock for pick-up. The food was done on time and ready for pick-up. And the staff is super friendly! Each meal came with a pickle, bag of chips and some dipping sauce for the Bierock's. I did like the Southwest better than the lamb. Next time we will try the burgers! Highly recommended!
We stopped in this morning after the farmers market for some beer and food. Was very tasty!! Tried the lamb and the classic bierocks both delightful. Ton of good beers on tap. Gonna try one of their mule cocktails next time we stop in. Great addition to the neighborhood!
Soft opening at Bierock today. Great selection of brews (no, I didn't try them all). The staff (and owners) were very engaging and informed, in addition to being professional. Ordered a bierock (rosemary lamb) to take home. The delicacy of the pastry and the lightness of the rosemary seasoning were in perfect balance with the lamb bits and thoroughly filling. Oh, and did I mention that I was their first customer? I look forward to many return visits.
