Nestled on Madison’s east side, this casual, west‑coast–styled spot serves standout cocktails and a strong craft‑beer roster with a sunny terrace and roomy tables ideal for groups. Brunch and Friday fish fry are popular and portions generous, but kitchen execution and timing are inconsistent: dishes can arrive missing components or underseasoned, and service slows on busy shifts. Family accommodations are limited. Great for drink‑focused outings and relaxed group meals; food‑first diners may seek better execution elsewhere.
What a fantastic place! I can't wait to go back. The spring rolls were exceptional, and the beer was nice and cold. The bartender and servers were incredibly friendly! Food: 5/5.
The restaurant is situated in a great location with plenty of parking and easy access to Madison's east and north sides. The decor is decent, and the service is attentive. However, the menu lacks creativity and flavor. If you're a fan of the small-town fancy vibe—think Edison bulbs, tacos, and various "bowls" and nachos—this place might be for you. But if you're looking for something better, I recommend trying BlindShot on North Fair Oaks, which has an outstanding menu, or Vintage near the Square, where they also brew their own beer. Both offer a similar concept but with better execution and food. As for kid-friendliness, there's plenty of dining space, a simple menu, and a casual atmosphere.
The hostess was friendly and allowed us to seat ourselves since it wasn't very busy at that moment. However, we waited for 30 minutes and not a single staff member came to our table. In fact, the people who sat down right next to us after we did received their drinks before we were even acknowledged. We ultimately decided to leave and will likely not return. Service rating: 1/5.
Great place to get a bite to eat and have a drink. Wonderful beer selection. Place was clean staff was friendly. Would definitely be back.
So good! I had the Mexican Street Corn Chicken Tacos (lots of lime and a perfectly seasoned sauce). He had the Slammin' Salmon Cobb Salad (with seared and blackened salmon, huge pieces of crunchy bacon, etc). Really yummy! Roller doors to bring theoutside in. Casual but classy atmosphere. Better than what you expect for pub food. Nice representation of craft brews. Serverwas attentive, knowledgeable, sweet. We'll be back.
