Came here after in searching for pho joints in the area. Ordered the pho special along with my gf. Pho is pretty good but lacks that signature Vietnamese traditional taste which consists of herbal spices like star anise, fennel etc. it is because owner is Cambodian. It’s still good since they have their own version of pho called Katew. View all feedback.
We ordered the shrimp pad Thai, pork and shrimp spring rolls, and the Grilled Lemongrass Beef and Eggroll Vermicelli Bowl. The portion sizes were generous, and the meats in each dish were substantial—definitely not stingy. In the past, I’ve often found that when I order dishes with shrimp or beef, I receive very little meat, but that wasn't the case here. Overall, the food was quite good. The sauce for the Grilled Lemongrass Beef and Eggroll Vermicelli Bowl was a tad bland, though still enjoyable. The Shrimp Pad Thai was excellent—pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes, and this one was delicious! The spring rolls were also tasty, and I would definitely order them again for the price.
The chicken pho is absolutely wonderful. The broth was so flavorful and the regular size was huge. I wish I lived in Madison so I could come here weekly!!! Egg rolls were also great. Highly recommend!!!!
Excellent service! The regular portion is quite generous, and I’d recommend ordering the large only if you’re really hungry. The broth has a delightful sweet and tangy flavor. As a vegetarian, I often find that such dishes are neglected, but the pho here is both satisfying and packed with flavor. I definitely plan to return.
This is a fantastic family restaurant with welcoming staff and a friendly owner. I ordered the drunken noodles, which were not only delicious but also served in a generous portion. The Thai iced tea was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!
Takeout of two large pho with steak (the meat was buried beneath the noodles). Pros: Big portion size Chewy noodles that weren't falling apart Super flavorful broth Cons: Every container was oily A little stingy on the beef (though the broth's flavor makes up for it) Expensive $15 per bowl
