Description

Aldo’s, tucked inside the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, is a campus staple known for noticeably improved coffee, friendly baristas and reliable to‑go catering. The menu features pastries, avocado toast and breakfast burritos that suit quick lunches and study sessions, while the airy, plant‑filled atrium and attentive service make it a good spot for meetings. Expect some inconsistencies—small portions for the price, occasional overly sour sauces—and a few wobbly or dirty tables and limited power outlets, but overall it’s a convenient, welcoming place for coffee and casual campus gatherings.

The food is decent, but I don't think it justifies the price.

Overall, this is the best coffee shop on the UW campus, located within the stunning WID. They offer excellent coffee along with a variety of tasty food options.

The avocado toast here is wonderfully straightforward and incredibly tasty. With limited food options on campus, this place offers quick service and a great variety of delicious choices. It's my favorite lunch spot on this side of campus.

Tried one of their bowls. They charged $3.50 for tofu which turned out to be about five unseasoned pieces. The bowl itself fairly small for the price tag $16) and the sauce was too sour to be edible.
