I was waiting for a table today and decided to go up to the bar for a drink. The woman bartender said “there’s kids standing at the bar, I don’t know what they want” instead of just asking me. After a few minutes another bartender asked what I wanted, and I said a sangria. She said OK, and walked away from the bar. The first bartender then had to ask again if I needed something and then said they don’t serve sangrias there. I said okay do you have a drink menu I can look at? And she moved onto the regular customers and ignored me. I walked away from the bar with no drink and sat at my table. The server we had was adequate, no complaints there. As a worker in the service industry, I know ignoring a guest/ customer is unacceptable and rude. Also to be referred to as a child waiting at the bar is very disrespectful and she could just have asked for my license.
