We were told that the... read more We have waited to cross the border and have a real italian food. Unfortunately the tables were only available for short waiter 's friends. We were told that there is no table available and after few minutes he found a table for others. Finally we had very average take away pizza outside the restaurant. The other waiters were surprised of his attitude. Looks like he feels he is a boss . Disappointing that person like him is tolerated by the owner. Be aware of this place. The don 't like tourists. The view is very nice. Nothing else.

The place w... read more We were on a day trip to Switzerland during our stay at lake Como and accidentally ended up at the restaurant while traveling over the Splügen pass. The place was pretty much empty and we were served brilliantly. The waitress was extremely polite, friendly and really tended to us. The atmosphere is pleasant; feels like an old-school alpine hut, but with a few modern touches. We ordered a pizza, which was excellent and blueberry pasta with cheese sauce, which was very original and tasty as well. Pizzas are great value, while the meat dishes which we didn’t try are towards 20+ euros. The dessert was delicious as well. The food arrived EXTREMELY fast, barely had time to wash my hands in the well maintained toilets.

Bes... read more Delicious hand-made pizzas in friendly family run establishment. We were afforded a very warm welcome and our host coped admirably with our limited Italian! Best pizzas we've eaten in ages and all washed down with a grappa compliments of the restaurant. We will be returning more than once this week during our stay in Madesimo. Extremely family friendly.
