Reviews - Auld Triangle
Reviews summary
The restaurant offers a consistent menu with reliable, tasty food, but some items may be forgotten. The prices are high, and there have been complaints about slow service during busy times. The outdoor dining policy has also raised concerns. The service, decor, and food quality receive mixed reviews. However, the staff is praised for their friendliness and excellent service. Despite some negative experiences, the restaurant has received positive feedback for accommodating special occasions. Overall, the establishment seems to have potential but could benefit from improvements in various areas.

Lovely little spot, service was very attentive and prices very reasonable for the portions served. Would recommend
Such a lovely spot for food. The hosts were very welcoming and even on a busy Mothers day, we were seated and looked after promptly. Sunday carvery lunch was absolutely lovely, big plates and very reasonably priced.
We rang last minute to book and it was no problem, a few minutes later we were welcomed warmly. The service was excellent and the food delicious, will definitely return if ever in the area again.
Had a really lovely experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. We’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend it to others.

I had my daughter's confirmation meal here today, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Everything was fantastic—the food was delicious, and the service from the staff was excellent. Thank you so much, Kitty!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was fabulous! I had the beef roast, which was even better than my Grandma's. My sister ordered the hake with roasted vegetables...
This is a fantastic place for a drink and some comforting food. The waitstaff was attentive and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere is warm, and it seems to be a favorite among the locals.

No table ready at appointed time then four at a table in the corner with no access. Service very poor and items missing off online menu. Food was good and hot.

Even though we had not booked they had a table for 5 of us. The exceptional service gave us a really good meal and everyone was happy.
I have been here twice recently with my young baby and elderly mum. Both times have been a 10/10. The food is excellent and so reasonably priced. The service is wonderful. Such lovely and kind staff made the visit special for my mum who is not well. Thank you so much.
On the way home from cork with the family and decided to stop for dinner with our kids one of which is gluten and lactose free. We managed to get a seat and as we did we asked the friendly waitress if we could get the gluten-free option, she did not know if there was one, so went to check. Came back and said there was the option of a salad and steak for the child. Or cottage pie with mash. So very disappointed with the lack of options available here. So word to the wish best avoid if you have a goin your party that is a celiac. In this day and age there should be more options available. So we left and headed for the mills inn in Ballyvourney
Jody is the finest bartender I’ve ever come across. Definitely deserves a raise immediately. Crafts the best Mai Tai in the world. No question.
On November 26th, I visited Auld Triangle with my family after hearing wonderful recommendations. We were attended to by a charming young gentleman, probably no older than 16, who was incredibly polite and eager to help us with anything we needed—it truly impressed us. The food was delicious and melted in our mouths. We also tried the chocolate cake, which was undoubtedly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. We will definitely be returning. Excellent staff and outstanding food!

This establishment is not friendly for individuals with autism or disabilities, based on our family’s experience. We recommend avoiding this facility if you have a family member who requires awareness and understanding while engaging in social activities in the community. We would give it a zero-star rating.
Had a meal for 2 here, the very good quality and very well cooked food. Called on a Saturday evening without reservation when we went through Macroom. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere and high-quality decor. The staff could not have been more helpful and very friendly. Very recommended
