Description

Yummy Chen’s earns praise for flavorful, affordable Chinese classics, generous portions and a relaxed, charming atmosphere with free, ample parking. Regulars applaud attentive service and standout dishes like Katsu Bento, General Tso, and Szechuan specials. However, experiences vary: staff can be awkward or inconsistent, and one reported a refusal to replace an oversalty dish (yet still charged). Overall a worthwhile small‑town stop for lunch or dinner with generally excellent food and friendly service, tempered by occasional service and policy hiccups.

Love menu options, as well as everything on it! Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is relaxing. Only thing they need to work on is employee/customer interaction. Most are very friendly, had a few who weren't acted as though we were an inconvenience. Other than that, no complaints, lovely place which I always recommend to those looking for something new.

Yummy Chen's definitely lives up to its reputation; the food is truly impressive. I tried the Szechuan Chicken lunch special, and it was delightful. The meal came with two of the largest crab rangoons I’ve ever seen, generously stuffed. The Hot and Sour soup was perfectly spicy and very flavorful. All of this for just $9.25—what a bargain! The service was decent, but I did run out of water and wasn’t offered a refill, which led me to deduct a star. The atmosphere was nice, though not exceptional, so I took away another star. Nevertheless, I’ll be back every time I’m in Macomb!
