OK it was open on a Sunday. It was quiet but the service was on the slow side without much enthusiasm... No bread offered with the capresse ... Strange. Wine was good. Prices were good. We have had better coffee in many places... Unusual to find coffee in Italy under par. All in all just OK... The location is very pleasant. View all feedback.
The pizza was delicious and also the vegetables i asked for were properly made, nice quality of ingredients and kindness of the owner. Give it a chance!
I would recommend you avoid this trap: the setting is truly great, and you are only minutes away form the Opera Festival, but the food is bland and unimaginative, which is a rare thing in Italy.
The service was not very good, it was a long wait to be served and to reorder drinks this I feel is mainly due to being understaffed. Food was ok at best. location nice in the square but didn't make up for the meal
We have been arounf Marche for some weeks and finally stoppet ad the beautiful town of Macerata. Having arrived rather late we decided to “go easy” and have a pizza, always good for any circumstance. The main square sees this big outdoor sitting of the Pizzeria Bel Mondo: I would guess something like 40 to 50 tables in front of the restaurant on this fantastic square of Macerata. However, the service and quality of the Pizzeria are extremely low. The waiters (two one for taking orders and one for bringing food) are young and probably at their summer job but without being guided by anyone of experience. This creates a situation of extremely long waiting. Before we were taken care of, we had to complain twice and it took over one hour to get our pizzas at our tables. When we pointed this out to the restaurant they said that it was an evening with anomalous number of clients but looking at the outdoor tables, half of them was empty. moreover, the question is: why does a restaurant have so many tables if it is not in a position to serve them all properly. When we received our pizzas (3) we received first our daughter’s and after 15 mins the other two. They were all very small and half cooked, impossible to be eaten. This was again subject of unattended complaints from our side. We therefore requested the bill that took something like 20 mins to reach us and for 3 pizzas, 1 bottle of mineral water, 1 beer and 1 coke we spent Euro 48. We did not get a receipt and not even the Euro 2 change from our Euro 50 note. Clearly this place is driven carelessly and no attention at all is given to customers: it is basically the only pizzeria in the square. We went away with a spoilt evening. I hope nobody who reads this note will go there.
Molto buono il cibo, servizio veloce e cortese per in giusto prezzo. Il tutto a due passi dal meraviglioso sferisterio di Macerata
