Macedon Chippy
Macedon Chippy
Description
Nestled in the local dining scene, this restaurant has drawn mixed reactions from patrons. While many rave about the outstanding, juicy burgers and attentive staff, particularly praising the unique toppings and high-quality ingredients, others express frustration over inconsistent service and disappointing sides. Calamari dishes have been criticized for being overly chewy, and soggy chips have marred the experience for some diners. With limited monthly openings, expectations for exceptional service are heightened, leading to calls for improved customer relations. Despite the culinary highs, particularly with the burgers, the restaurant must address these persistent issues to retain its local following.

Feedback
The customer service ranged from dismissive to outright rude. Given that they only open once a month, one would expect a more welcoming attitude. The council should revoke their commercial license and offer it to someone who will actually provide consistent service to the community. I won’t be returning, nor will I visit Super Lekker, until there are changes. I encourage other locals to do the same to show that we won’t be taken for granted. After a 50-minute wait, my calamari was tough and the chips were soggy. The cheesy macaroni balls were decent, and the dim sims were the highlight of the meal.
The chips were soggy and undercooked, and the calamari was the chewiest we've ever had—I usually love calamari, but this was not enjoyable at all. The cheeseburger was bland and lacked flavor. In terms of pricing, we felt it was far too high for the quality of the food we received. I'm happy to pay a premium for delicious meals, but this simply wasn't good. Unfortunately, we will not be returning or recommending this place to our guests. Cheers.
