We started by sharing garlic bread, and then I h... read more I had a wonderful lunch with friends after a long walk earlier in the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. We started by sharing garlic bread, and then I had the lamb pie, which was excellent, along with ham, egg, and chips. Our vegetarian friend was accommodated with a cheese sandwich that wasn’t on the menu, but the staff prepared it without any fuss. I also ordered a steak sandwich with fries, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. For dessert, I had a delicious chocolate brownie with ice cream, while my friend had a cherry tart, both of which were very tasty. The Directors beer was quite enjoyable, as was the rosé wine. Overall, it was a delightful visit.
