Grand Champion Bbq - Mableton

As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was off and the workers were very rude. I peeped to look at what was being served on the bar and the worker gave me a nasty look. So yeah we turned around and didn’t place an order.

The BBQ was good, not great. Considering we came at opening I thought it would be hotter, but the food was only mildly warm. The Mac and cheese was great and the brisket was good.

The best smoked chicken I have ever had! It was moist which is rare! The food was good and quick especially because I was on my lunch break. I will be back soon!

I live within walking distance of this place and I’ll probably never eat here again.It’s sad because we love to go walking along the river and get a beer and BBQ but the last few times we went I’ve never been treated as poorly as I have here! Almost all the employees are rude and the managers (or what I assume to be managers) are the most rude of them all! The tall older man has rolled his eyes at me for not knowing the menu or bothering to ask a question. One night, they were closed when their posted hours said they should have been open. He frantically opened everything and proceeded to rush customers and when I tried to order a dessert only (you just pull it from the fridge) he sighed annoyingly and interrupted to tell me they are too busy to take my order. When I told him I just wanted pudding, he grabbed one, shoved it at me. I waited to pay, then he angrily said “just take it”.I’ve never spent a dime in there since. Thanks for the free pudding I suppose.Food is alright. Mac n cheese is greasy

This environment is conveniently located to a couple of apartment complexes. The smoked chicken is decent, the sides are okay. This is a place of convenience with decent BBQ and somewhat friendly staff. They never have the beef ribs or brisket despite what the menu says so don't depend on that being a meal option.
