Feedback
We had a lovely dinner. The food was delicious and included flavour combinations new to us. The environment is charming and comfortable. Small but not tight. The service was excellent; attentive, prompt and very informative. We were passing through Lyon so unlikely we will be back any time soon but we would very happily recommend to others.
Unfortunately me and four others had an unpleasant experience when we had dinner on 8th of August to celebrate Father’s Day. The main problem was the head waiter’s attitude. From the very beginning when we asked about the wine selection, the waiter made us feel that we should have understood their wine. Secondly, we decided to order some set meals to share instead of each person having one meal, which the waiter said was feasible. However, as we were served the food, we were informed that we should pay for each course of the meal instead of the set meal price as it was not worth it from their end. We felt very disappointed and disrespected as he informed us while he was serving the food. We would have been happy to not pay the set meal prices if this was clearly explained to us at the start or corrected before we were served the food. There was also an arrogant attitude while serving the food and when talking to me in general. For instance, when I walked out from the toilet, he said “the light is not off.” I don’t think this is the way to speak to your customer. I’m sure his English is good enough to be able to address me politely. You have the right to be proud of your food but please note we are not beggers, we are customers who are paying for a decent experience.
