Four of us went for L'origo's Sunday Brunch and were all happy with the food and service. Located in a corner of a smaller road, we were lucky to have a table outside and enjoyed the sun and blue sky, and quite street. They also...have a lot of tables inside, great for days that are too hot. The buffet table consists of cold cut, cheese, jam, bread, pain au chocolate croissant and fruit, not extravaganza with the choices but good in quality. Each of us was then served with 4 different main meals in smaller portion including half a tuna sandwich, a mini burger, a little cup of stir fry vegetable in soy sauce, a spoon of salmon tartar and another spoon of something that I can not remember. Lastly, 4 different choices of dessert were served, including pain perdu, mousse au chocolate, raspberry yogurt and passionfruit ? with cream chantilly. Brunch costs slightly below 30 euro per person, not including drinks. Our table ordered some freshly squeezed orange juice and 6 different coffee, bringing the bill to 130 euro. We were not overly full, but the food quality and service were good. We stayed a long time, sitting and talking, and the waitresses did not try to kick us out. If you are still hungry after all the food served, you can always go back to the buffet table and get more coldcuts, cheese and pain au chocolate.
I've had the best branch of my life..buffet 4 plates served, plus a special mention to dessert..everything so tasty, really recommended!!!
Delicious food! The 21.90€ brunch consists of 4 (salty) dishes, a dessert platter and a buffet with croissants, bread, cheese, charcuterie, fruits, etc. Drinks (coffee, juice) are extra. High quality and you won't leave hungry. Friendly staff, we had a great and relaxing end of...Sunday morning at L'Origo. Highly recommended.
For 25 euro you get the really perfect brunch, a buffet plus about 5-6 courses served. Quality of food and service are outstanding!
Well.. It was not at all a gastronomic experience as you 'd otherwise expect in Lyon. The premises, the wine and the waiters all fully live up to the expectations... but let 's be honest, we mostly came for the food and that was nothing to write...home about. Has the chef lost his flair for a good taste experience or should everything just be super bland?! No taste without salt and peber in any of the starters. What they call a main course of a burger would make Mc Donalds say how is that possible? Bad experience on the food front, when you think about what gastronomic mecca of a city they are trying to establish themselves in.. Really a sad food experience.
