I have been a loyal supporter of Kies for a while now. The sweet white wines they offer are truly remarkable.
It can be hit or miss when using Groupon, Scoopon, or Living Social deals at restaurants. Sometimes you are limited to certain days or times and restricted to a limited menu.
Called in at the halfway point of our ride for a serve of scrambled eggs, bacon and tomatoes along with a strong large coffee. Quick service, and everything tasted fresh, and warm. And sitting outside in the morning sun was glorious amongst the roses. We'll be back again
We have been eating our way through all the "fine dining" venues of the Barossa Valley, and there are so many, all excellent - but we can't afford to dine that way all the time, so we thought we would try something a little more casual and less expensive, hence we tried the Monkey Nut Cafe.Yes, it's a cafe, Yes, it's not fine dining, but the food is still excellent and it's fantastic value. My partner had the Barramundi Wellington and absolutely loved it. Very Special was her comment. I had the steak sandwich, also very nice.Personally I'm not a fan of meals served on "wooden boards" because everything tends to slide off, I much prefer plates, but that is my only complaint, minor as it is.Two wines, garlic bread, two mains - only $58. Our last lunch was amazing, but it was $195. It was worth it but, the Monkey Nut is a very pleasant low budget alternative.
