Dog friendly (not always a good thing! Made a nice change from all the identikit coffee shops around these days.

It took a little while for the staff to settle and greet us, but after that, we had a wonderful experience. I enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast and had lovely conversations with both the waitress and the owner. It's great to see that well-behaved dogs are welcome here too. The high number of regular customers and locals dining there is always a good sign! We will definitely return the next time we pass through Lyndhurst!

The ca... read more As always, the best café in Lyndhurst! We love it here because the staff are so friendly, and the owner is down-to-earth and often chats with the guests. The café is dog-friendly, and the staff is more than happy to bring a bowl of water for your furry friends. The food is consistently fresh and cooked to perfection. Whenever we're in Lyndhurst, we always head straight to Peggy Mays and we're never disappointed!

I think I had the best coffee and walnut cake I've ever tasted. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it felt great to be among the locals.
