This was a wonderful restaurant for us. We enjoyed it enough to return on a second night. The menu was traditional Swiss food, but it was not a tourist place. The menu was only in English, but everyone was gracious about our limited German. He service was gracious but not overbearing. After a long time we went back to the Ochsen. After the reopening, the food was very good and came quickly. What I complain about is the staffing in the service. There was a birthday party in the hall with over 40 people and the restaurant was also very well occupied. 2 service staff for all guests. Wonderful and cheerful server who translated the whole menu. Her recommendations sre all spot on. We enjoyed the evening totally. Good chat with the chef too.
The charcoal grilled chicken was crispy and juicy. The dinning place was relaxing and the waitresses were very friendly.

I was able to celebrate my birthday party at the Gasthaus Ochsen on Sunday. Everything was just right. Super fine food, friendly service and very nice, friendly hosts. You just have to stop by and enjoy. Thank you, the Haldi family, for your hospitality. Gladly again. Best regards Hp. Bürli
