Edith's Alpenrösli - Giswil

Super great restaurant. Game was super nice. Service very friendly. Bowling alley was the highlight.

A family-friendly restaurant with excellent home-style cuisine. The portions are large, the food was very tasty. We had the wild pepper twice, a chicken and a children's schnitzel. Plus a bottle of water, a flat red Sauser and an espresso. All together for a good 150 CHF with tip. A very good price for Switzerland. The friendly, familiar service and the good parking facilities are particularly positive.

We went there hungry, lookin to eat smt like on the pictures. They didn't serve us. No food between 14:00 and 17:00. Then we ordered 2 lattes (they were mediocre) , 1 capuccino (terrible) and 1 americano (good). Keep in mind we paid 10fr. for each coffee, of which we had to remind them of our order since they forgot. All in all, personally I don't recommend this place.

We loved the fresh food and relaxing atmosphere of this restaurant (we dined on the terrace) during our recent visit to Giswil. The owner was very friendly and accommodating as were all the staff, and extremely tolerant of the language barrier. We each had drinks and dinner, and paid about 50CF/each. I would highly recommend if you're visiting the area.

Real surprise to find this place in a neighborhood outside of giswil. the staff was very friendly, struggling to help us understand menu. the local vegetables, mushrooms, chicken were unique and tasty. Actually our best meal on 4 day trip even after going through Gstaad and Interlaken. nice deck too if it is good weather.
