Tonight it is the second time that we visited in sofra during our day visit in luxor and the first was great (both eat and service). but we had such an unpleasa... read more Tonight it is the second time that we visited in sofra during our day visit in luxor and the first was great (both eat and service). but we had such an unpleasant experience tonight: we came to have an early dinner, we ordered everything, including several drinks, mezze, main courses and desserts, while we still enjoy our desserts, one of the waiters came up and brought us the bill box without asking us whether we are done or not. then he asked us to pay and leave soon because there are reservations in the meantime nobody informs us about it before and more than the half of the restaurant was still empty. when we finished our last bite at desserts, he immediately appeared and opened the bill box when he saw that it is still empty, he called "Where is it? where is it? “It was great to eat, but it’s really not the level of service we should expect here.

He also highlighted the rice with dessert milk, which comes with peanuts above, and chopped coconut.There is a dish that puts veal fillet with potatoes, which in fact is a stew with very tender meat and very soft sauce. The lamb with rice is also very tender.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy their vegetarian dishes at all.Salad baladi was fine.Baba ganough had way too much tahini and how this egg cake in the picture was a shakshouka is beyond me. Very dry eggs with no Tomate tastes.Don't recommend this for veggies.

Hummus had an original and great taste. The best was the Auberginenmousaka. It was still boiling in a small iron sauce on our table, which was nice to see, it tasted even better. Lentil soup was amazing, great seasoning and taste. Toilets are also super clean and imagination, only overall great experience. The staff knows English very well and is familiar with vegan cuisine. Up.

It's a convenient spot to grab a bite before catching a train from Luxor Station, just a short walk away. While prices are a bit higher compared to other places, the food is decent though we've had better meals for less money in Egypt. They... read more Great atmosphere, but seems understated. The food is very potent and I loved my fresh Guava juice, but the eggplants and tomatoes were drowned in the oil. They took it back and made it new, even though I wish they asked me first because I might have ordered something else. This place also serves veal and so- meh. I don't love it, but the staff was really friendly and I didn't have to pay the meal after they did it again. They also repeatedly said vegetarian instead of vegan when referring to me. I further corrected them, but maybe they don't know the difference. Be careful to ask all ingredients. Updated by previous review on 2022-02-26

The setting is absolutely stunning, with multiple rooms and levels for diners to choose from. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service.
