Went to the deli for a meal last evening. The food and absolutely phenomenal. We started with calamari and garlic bread, the sauce on the calamari is to die for and the garlic bread... so tasty. What azin Jahanfar doesn't like about Salt Shaker Deli:
Great customer service and servers. Lobster roll was smelling bad very fishy) probably one of my least favorite I couldn't finish it. Chowder was good/ average. The pizza was less than desired not Italian style. Overall unimpressed. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 View all feedback.
The food is really good. We had the chowders, mussels and pizza and it was SPECTACULAR. Chowder was shocked with seafood, mussels swimming in roasted garlic and the homemade sausage on the pizza was incredible. Very recommended. Rooms: 1 Service: 5 Location: 5.
Seafood knower with smoked fish was the best we had so far
Fantastic! We had the fish cakes, the lobster roll and the chowder excellent all around and very warm friendly service.
Stopped by on a maritime road trip to Nova Scotia. Lunch rush during the weekday was busy even after 1PM, so there was a bit of a wait. Staff were friendly and courteous even with a packed place! The pear and prosciutto pizza tasted great, and not too greasy!
The restaurant was busy on a Saturday evening, but we managed to get a table even without a reservation. The food was GREAT. We had a fabulous bean salad a grilled salmon risotto with fresh sweet peas that was out of this world. The salmon was fresh delicious and the risotto was flavoured just perfectly. Portions were large (perhaps too large! and the meal was memorable. Who would know that a gourmet-style meal could be had at the deli-bar of a small in on Lunenburg’s main thoroughfare? A must-try when passing through this town which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Food drinks: The restaurant is SPLENDID.
