Just wanted to put this comment here, when I was a kid my family would drop by here when passing through Luling in the 90's. Your BBQ was always amazing and I really appreciate the memories! Glad to see y'all are still kicking and in business! Best View all feedback.
What 1234texas dislikes about Luling B Q:
We found ourselves stuck in a traffic jam while trying to take a shortcut to San Marcos. Instead of turning back to hit the freeway, we spotted this restaurant on a side street and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. Although we had seen some positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we found they were quite exaggerated. The place is a typical small-town hangout with no real atmosphere and offers little beyond decent, thoug... View all feedback.

Rustic vibes and delicious meats. We had the ribs, brisket, turkey and sausage. It was all sooo good. The sauce was so unique and when poured on the food made all the flavors pop. Definitely would recommend. The sides could be better but overall greatexperience. Excellent service.
Our first visit and it was ok. I wasn't super impressed with the ribs. Now the au gratin potatoes were a hit with me. My friend got the brisket sandwich and she enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. The service isspeedy and courteous.

The meat is what is worth coming for. I had a lunch plate today with mac cheese and coleslaw. I wasn’t impressed with either one. But the chicken, the brisket, the chopped beef and everything else is delicious.
The food I gave it a 4 due to the fact the side were limited and they were out . the meats were awesome . Didn't like that you have to pay for more bread . Over all great place to stop by and eat.
Really good food, great service and easy to get to from the interstate. The town is near as well and very clean.

The food was excellent, but the soda cashier could improve their customer service skills.

Great BBQ! After sampling some brews at Shiner Brewery, we headed to Luling for some classic Central Texas barbecue. The combo plate featuring brisket, chicken, and two sides was excellent. The brisket was tender and flavorful, while the chicken met expectations perfectly. I can't wait to return!
Good grill. My wife and I have tried most places on the central Texas BBQ Trail except Luling Bar-B-Q. Well, I'm glad to report that this has changed. Luling Bar-B-Q has good food! My wife and I tried the bride and hot links. We found both to be tasteful and juicy. Actually, we both thought her meat was better than you could just get down the street. Try their sauce, a mild must mix that is quite good, especially on the left. When you visit, save space for the PIE. I forgot how good chocolate cake can taste.
We visited here on a Sunday. My family had hoped to go to Central market but it was closed. So, we settled for this place and we were pleasantly suprised! I tried the ribs, the brisket, and the jalapeno sausage. The brisket I was given was from the flat and very lean. Had great flavor but was a touch dry. The ribs and sausage were outstanding! The star of the show was their mustard based bbq sauce! One of the best sauces I've ever tried. I bought a bottle to take back home to Oklahoma. If you're in Lulling id highly recommend giving this place a try! P.S. My only major complaint was the disposable silverware they gave us. The sausage had such a good snap on it but the silverware was too flimsy to cut the sausages!
Great sides!. We went on Labor Day! What was I thinking? It was very busy even 2:30pm. The only meat left was brisket sausage. But it was very good. The pea salad, potato salad okra were perfect. The white/vanilla cake was very moist delicious. I usually don't order sausage, but it was very tasty. Can't wait to go back try the ribs.
Typically, a BBQ joint lets the delicious aroma of smoke and meat waft through the air, enticing BBQ lovers from afar. However, I didn't catch that familiar scent until I actually stepped inside the restaurant. Once I did, I knew I was in for a treat — although it also meant I’d be leaving with the pleasant smell of smoked meat clinging to my clothes. That’s not a problem unless you happen to work in a dog shelter, as you might cause quite a stir among the dogs! The restaurant operates on a cafeteria style, where you order at the counter. There are plenty of options for sides. The brisket was quite good, and the sauce was decent, though I didn't find it overly reminiscent of a honey mustard vinegar blend. As for the sausage, it was a bit disappointing. It may have lingered too long under the warming lights, resulting in it being somewhat dry and lackluster. On the bright side, the potato salad was creamy with nice chunks of potato, and I enjoyed the flavorful pinto beans. It’s easy to see why this place is often listed among Texas’s Top 50 BBQ spots, though it certainly isn't because of the staff's demeanor. Both food servers had sour expressions that suggested they'd rather be anywhere else, seemingly just counting the minutes until they could return to their routine cleaning and other tasks. It’s a shame to receive such an unwelcoming vibe in a small town, where friendly and smiling faces are usually the norm, especially when trying to win customers over. I might consider visiting again, perhaps in search of friendlier service, but their food did leave a positive impression.
