We found ourselves stuck in a traffic jam while trying to take a shortcut to San Marcos. Instead of turning back to hit the freeway, we spotted this restaurant on a side street and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. Although we had seen some positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we found they were quite exaggerated. They were out of a lot of the meat options but the turkey and chopped beef and sides were delicious! Def going back to try more. Older building and bathroom was broken/clogged.
Busy day because of the long weekend Labor Day. Great food.
The BBQ Brisket Was Very Delicious and The Pork Ribs Was So Delicious The Meat Just About Fell Off Of The Bones
Fresh authentic down-home Texas BBQ! I ordered (and demolished) a sliced brisket sandwich, suuuper tender, just delicious. They serve their own BBQ sauce and it added so much flavor, not that it was lacking to begin with! The staff were very easy to talk to and nice, though they were not sure what my friend meant by chopped brisket as opposed to sliced brisket, which confused us all. But they were sweet and chatted with us either way. Overall great experience especially for a lunch stop on a long drive!
This place has some delicious barbecue. The brisket was so tender, juicy and full of flavor and the sausage both regular and jalapeno) was to kill for. Is definitely recommend this place to anyone if your ever in Luling or just passing by.

Rustic vibes and delicious meats. We had the ribs, brisket, turkey and sausage. It was all sooo good. The sauce was so unique and when poured on the food made all the flavors pop. Definitely would recommend. The sides could be better but overall great experience. Excellent service.
The sausage is good. The bbq sauce has a kick. The beans are not that good. The soda selection is great.
Great BBQ! After sampling some brews at Shiner Brewery, we headed to Luling for some classic Central Texas barbecue. The combo plate featuring brisket, chicken, and two sides was excellent. The brisket was tender and flavorful, while the chicken met expectations perfectly. I can't wait to return!
Awesome BBQ and service. From now on this will be our favorite spot point when we drive from Houston to San Antonio. I have never seen my kids eat so much and so fast.
Good grill. My wife and I have tried most places on the central Texas BBQ Trail except Luling Bar-B-Q. Well, I'm glad to report that this has changed. Luling Bar-B-Q has good food! My wife and I tried the bride and hot links. We found both to be tasteful and juicy. Actually, we both thought her meat was better than you could just get down the street. Try their sauce, a mild must mix that is quite good, especially on the left. When you visit, save space for the PIE. I forgot how good chocolate cake can taste.

Our first visit and it was ok. I wasn't super impressed with the ribs. Now the au gratin potatoes were a hit with me. My friend got the brisket sandwich and she enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. The service isspeedy and courteous.
OMG! We was in the I-10 and my wife had a BBQ craving ???? so we found this place by Google and WAS AMAZING! I really love the Brisket, THE SAUCE ???? and the sides ???????? For sure the best BBQ in the area with a old style building.

The food was excellent, but the soda cashier could improve their customer service skills.
The delicious aroma filled the air as I was exploring the area, and it became clear that I had to stop there for lunch. Additionally, the restaurant’s name alone seemed like a strong reason to give it a try.
