This particular Dots location isn't very unique. I'm not a fan of having breakfast anywhere other than home—mainly because, first, I can make it better myself, and second, it's more economical. View all feedback.

You gotta love this place! Takes me back to Mel's Diner on TV when I was a kid. There is a Flo,Vera,Alice,and Mel all there. Down south home cooking at its finest. Served with a smile and maybe cousin Vinny will be around to tell you a joke. Thank you!
I sat at the counter for over 10 minutes and never once was acknowledged or asked for my order. No coffee or drink offer. I actually pre-ordered my food and got there ten minutes early. I would have liked to sip a coffee while I waited, but no oneacknowledged me in a timely fashion. Finally, after about 15 minutes, the guy cooking asked if someone helped me. Honestly, bythen I was ready to go so I left. I?ve never been to this location before. I?m sure this is a nice place to visit, as the ladywho took my phone order was very pleasant. But it?s everyone?s responsibility to take care of all customer?s even if they?re notin your section. The other guy working behind the counter carried on conversations with other customer?s who were seated at thecounter, and passed me multiple times just like everyone else working. However, no one felt the need to ask if I wanted a cup ofcoffee. I will not be back.
1 star is too many for this restaurant! Oct. 25, 2022 7:00-8:00 p.m. While waiting almost an hour for 3 BLTs, I witnessed the waitress putting a plate of food in front of a customer, and after he picked around in it with a fork, he told her it wasn?twhat he ordered. So she picked up the plate from in front of him, spooned some gravy over the top and gave it to the customerwho actually ordered that plate. That may go against some health department regulations??.definitely not sanitary! As for theBLTs I took home, maybe 2 pieces of bacon on each, one tiny slice of tomato, wilted lettuce, and soggy toast?..disgusting to saythe least! The hash browns were greasy, undercooked, and tasteless! It was a waste of time and money! This was our first andlast visit Dot?s Diner in Luling, LA.
Forget Waffle House, stop here. If you are passing through, stop here. It's nostalgic diner that isn't cheesy. Diner food that is fun, fast and frankly good for the price. Coffee was strong and the pancakes reminded me me of home made. I didn't try lunchbut I will!!!!
It was delicious and the service was great. The price was more than I thought it would be but so is the price of everything else. Overall I enjoyed the food and it was worth it

The food was good. ..the people make you feel like you're a family... and they give you a good part of food...

Great place to eat! Every time we're in Louisiana, I eat there. People are funny and very nice.
I always enjoy going to dots, late at night. The service there is always great. Jody, Carrie, and Megan are always on top of their game. Its always a pleasure to sit at the bar eat, people watch, and talk with everyone. The staff always is great with people who are just passing through, comming to get sober from a night out, getting off of work, etc. I will always enjoy a few hours with the crew at dots. Now i go i the mornings before work some times and the crew day crew is always great as well....the only trouble i have seen there is the micromanaging of the Boss Lady, i believe her name is Debbie. I understand she is a boss and has to be there to correct the wrongs of the crew, though she does not have to micro manage so much. If i worked there and she was breathing down my neck the way she does the workers there, I wouldnt be a happy camper and would not be working there very long. Hope this little issue gets some attention soon or i beleive the atmosphere will change quickly for the worst and buisness will start to decline.
