The coffee that they serve is forgettable, but we specialize in chocolates doesn 't rescue it. I thought customer service will be their saving grace BUT the wait was too long you start to question the decision of dining in and then you start to wonder if asking for basic service will cast you as the villain.
On Sunday, March 8th, around 3PM, I was served one of the saddest “one-scoop” ice creams I’ve ever seen (actually 3 of them! . It was far below the normal portion and really disappointing. For management’s awareness, it was not the usual skilled girl who normally serves the ice cream. Instead, a man who seemed to be her boss was serving coffee and stepped in to move the line faster, but the result was poor and disappointing service.
Went to Vanini for the legendary Vermicelles and I was told they don’t serve it anymore… it’s like going to a pizzeria and they don’t serve pizza. They lost me.
Considering Swiss prices, not bad for a pistachio croissant and cappuccino. Cute decorations and cosy vibe.
Unfortunately, the disappointment was great when I saw the dessert I ordered while I saw it on the menu. The photo showed a normal portion of dessert while what came was a miniature one-bite dessert, which cost 5 francs. Also, the fact that we have to ask for water and they give us 2 instead of 3 glasses of water while there are 3 of us, I also find it incomprehensible. The waitress also did not speak English. Maybe if we all spoke and did not act stupidly polite, maybe then things would change and they would not make fun of us in front of our faces.
