you had met him 30 years ago, now they are other people who manage it and I must say that I was very impressed by the dishes presented and that I had occasion to try. Arditi apartments but very well set a wonderful choice of wines proposed by the lady! In short a great restaurant, really to recommend! View all feedback.
We had an absolutely beautiful meal here when we visited. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and the service was the best we've ever experienced. The food was wonderfully presented and tasted absolutely incredible. The wines were all perfectly paired with the food we had ordered and were so lovely. We'd love to return in the not too distant future. An amazing experience from start to finish!
Refined restaurant where the husband in the kitchen and his wife in the hall propose their dishes of nouvelle cousine. the dishes chosen by me were very satisfying and the excellent wine card.
This is a wonderful fine dining establishment in Lugano. It serves contemporary French cuisine with additional influences from around the world in a warm, relaxed but classy atmosphere. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Patricia and her husband the chef Francis. Patricia helped us select delicious while wine for dinner and suggested a beautiful dessert wine which we all loved. We had a party of three and one of us got the tasting menu which was absolutely superb but quite a lot of food and we ended up sharing while the other two of us ordered ala carte (which they allow.) While everything from the tasting menu was good, I especially enjoyed the truffle foie gras (foie gras rolled into balls to resemble chocolate truffles) and the black truffle (not chocolate) hand rolled pastas. I enjoyed my lobster pasta and caesar salad immensely. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys fine cuisine and service at a very reasonable price.
It has been more than 2 weeks since my family and I had dinner there and yet we still talk about it. That is how deeply impressed we are about Al Portone. The experience actually feels like a visit to the home of a Michelin star Chef rather than a visit to a restaurant.I have travelled and eaten quite extensively. From At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa to the street food at Banglamphu in Bangkok...Sometimes you can really taste the sincerity and honesty in the dishes and that is what we had at Al Portone. Thank you Francis and Patricia for a wonderful dining experience. From the Singaporean family.
There is no word everything was perfect from the welcome to the dishes at the absolutely top service!!! not to miss especially in case of passage to lugano
