The. Sweet Potato Cafe was awesome! Their menu has a southern flair and looked so good that the four of us had trouble deciding. We ordered 2 appetizers to share, and for meals the Garlic Shrimp Broccoli Stuffed Sweet Potato, the Kale, Apple Chicken Salad and the others Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese. The portions were large, the prices too reasonable. Our waitress was a sweetie! The atmosphere inviting. I can't say enough... View all feedback.
What Sharonda Pointer doesn't like about Sweet Potato Cafe In Stone Mounta:
I went to the restaurant to order take out and was denied service because the waiter mentioned the kitchen stops taking orders 30 mins before closing which was 7:00PM. However, when I got back to my car it was 6:25PM. So technically I arrived more than 30 mins before closing and if this is the restaurant's policy it should be noted on their website. I just happened upon this place and it is absolutely wonderful. The food is superb. Highly recommended.
This is my first time visiting the Sweet Potato Cafe after reading previous reviews. I was very pleased with the customer service and the food items listed for lunch. The way the food was presented on the plates was great. Note: I was looking at the other customers plates to see what they ordered. The fried chicken salad sweet potato hummus chips were very tasty. Also enjoyed the sweet potato pie! Will be coming back will refer others!
Establishment was well decorated. Menu are lunch was smaller, and choices were limited. Chicken Pesto Panini was delicious, but the fries are frozen krinkle fries. For a farm to table establishment, that was odd. My waiter was nice, but never came back after food was delivered. Attempted to get other servers attention, but was unsuccessful. Paying out was less that pleasurable. Stood waiting for well over 10 minutes, other 2 servers would walk around me. I finally expressed that I had never been there and needed to know what to do. Another 5 minutes passed and finally our waiter helped us and we were able to leave. Bottom line is I think this place is a hidden gym, but needs to include the dinner options at lunch and needs to work on customer service skills for people who aren 't local .
What a hidden gem this is!! I was in Stone Mountain for the day, with family, and we found this place on Google. Everything on the menu sounded good, so we went for lunch. They did not disappoint! Everything was excellent!! Shrimp and grits, breakfast bowl, fried chicken and waffles, and O.M.Gosh the sweet potato biscuits are fantastic!!! We also ordered every dessert available, yummmm. The key lime pie was so smooth and the peach cobbler was delicious! The service was great, as well! Everyone was so nice and down to earth. All around wonderful business. We will be back.
