We had some great parties there and we reco... read more Not far from the Sande - one of the medieval marketplaces of Lueneburg in the old town you find the Mälzer Brauhaus. We had some great parties there and we recommend the dark beer cellar for the real atmosphere. Grab a not only one beer - order a beer cask and enjoy the evening. Food is highly recommendable. Fair prices. I would recommend a reservation as often pretty crowdy.

They also seem to have lots of reservations but still have space for people to drop in spontaneously like us. Inside it was very warm and quite stuffy - in part probably due to the face that they actively brew their beer in the building. The staff are friendly and efficient although they seem quite stressed. The food is fresh and tasty. I had the Angus beef burger with potato dippers (a fantastic cross between crisps and roast potatoes) which was delicious.

Service was fast despite the number of thr clients and very friendly, too. There is a good choice of German food and wines. We had asparagus and fish; fresh and tasty. Deserts delicious. Very nice German white wine. Price/quality excellent. You really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and good food. Better to book next time!

They had two beers to offer, a Pilsner and... read more Two of us visited here on Wednesday afternoon. The staff was busy, but very friendly. Food and beer are on the spot. They had two beers to offer, a Pilsner and a March we both liked. Other beers are on the menu, but are seasonal. The staff spoke all English, but were kindly patient with my very imperfect German. That was a nice stop.

If we return to this city one day, we will visit this restaurant again, I believe
