You will find a branch of Junge’s bakery everywhere in Lübeck. And you should try their Franzbrötchen (croissant with caramelised sugar and cinnamon) which is awesome and the best I had so far. Apart from that it’s the usual bakery-bistro thing. View all feedback.
What Wera Schröder doesn't like about Junge - Die Backerei - Am Markt:
We stopped for drinks and I have to say had it not been for the customer behind me this may have been far more difficult. I accept I should have learned some German but unfortunately I have not, and the person serving me kept firing...questions at me in German and not understanding English. If my order of a coffee and hot chocolate had been complicated then I could understand but it wasn’t. Still the drinks were nice View all feedback.
No matter which sector of town bakery you also take, the quality is too good everywhere, the selection is very good, but it is somewhat irritating that the offer differs slightly. The baked goods have nothing to do with advertising, as well as industrial goods, but you can enjoy it very well, unfortunately everything is somewhat too expensive and in some industries the female staff is quite zigzag
At the end of the 70s I moved to Lübeck and met the bakery boy here.... and love. Love continues until today, although I moved from Lübeck in 1989. An equivalent, great bakery with such an assortment, snacks, sandwiches and rolls, on fine cakes and cakes I have nowhere else found. Neither in the Ruhr region nor now in Lower Saxony I found an equivalent baker. The employees are well trained, competent and friendly, even if the customer's turnover is so large. The branch in Lübeck is almost always full or crowded. The only maneuver for cyclists or older, disabled, is that the toilets are upstairs. The beautifully designed shop halls, the product range, here everything is right. In recent years the freshly occupied bread rolls have fascinated me and this has not changed until today. My favorites are also today the lunch rolls that can now also be taken home as cuts so that you can always have them at home as camps. Whenever I'm somewhere in northern Germany, I'm looking for one of the bakery guys who are represented in many cities to enjoy and feast me. However, my favourite is still the branch at the Kohlmarkt in Lübeck. If I can enjoy my drinks and small sluts on the market and take a look at the Lübeck town hall, the world is good for me. The company Junge is very widespread in northern Germany. Unfortunately not yet with us in South Lower Saxony.
Excellent products for very reasonable prices. I love the cakes, the coffee is good too, but my favourite is the wholesome "croissant" laugenkorn.
Good sandwiches, buns and breads, and a favorite breakfast place in Lübeck. Counter service, which is efficient and about as friendly as it will get in Germany.
We had sandwiches (no english menu, but we pointed). Coffee was good. There are quite a few of these around and they are decent enough for coffee and a sandwich or pastry.
