Ordered a wrap and a bagel which came with no spices- totally tasteless and boring. There was missing ingredients and the wrap was served cold.
This small place at the corner of the Hüxstrasse-Balauerfohr makes its name clipp and clear what kind of gastronomy you enter here. Outside view. The “Cafebar” has already been noticed from the outside with the pitch black color, which is now rarely found in the centre of Lübeck. But you don't have to worry as a guest here, this is a scene for the Wave-Gothic scene. The reggae already sounds audible while passing clearly illustrate this. It should therefore be a very relaxed and youthful starting point, which can offer both a good start to the day, a good lunch rest and a relaxing drink evening. The middle was also my intention to fill my stomach easily on this hot day. Interior view. The interior also continues this motto “Deep Relax”. The floor-covering windows are also equipped with pillows as seating options that make the entire space even more open. There is therefore a flowing transition from the interior to the exterior, which is naturally simply perfect in summer. The numerous patches and the change of partial brick optics and the search for boarder fitting, which is supplemented with some pictures, also contribute to the successful decoration. Only the toilet probably did not see any renovations anymore, but was not dirty. Two young ladies welcomed me kindly and looked at the current hygiene rules by way of example. After the tested negative test I took place on a small table inside and got the card immediately. In the meantime, a question about satisfaction and good, as well as friendly cash and farewells rounded off a good service that would not have missed a little more from this special warmth of the heart to perfect performance. The card makes the start here with several pages of various hot, cold, alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks. Follow these, after daily running, breakfast and porridge variants. Panini, sandwiches and bowls provide the basis for cocktail evenings. In addition, the card always tastes a current “Daily Soup”. That was a carrot curry soup that met my appetite very well and I ordered right away. "Daily Soup": Karottenkursuppe. After a short waiting time, the part was served in a beautiful curved terrine on a slate substrate along with two slices of toast. There is already a plus point for the presentation, which has also been embellished by some purple sprouts and a carrot. The first spoon showed a great surprisingly fresh soup. The optics have already deceived some of the higher vessel because steam has not risen from the surface. With regard to consistency, however, it must be clearly stated that it was a kind of porridge rather than a liquid soup or cream soup. This speaks for a known bond with a good proportion of potatoes. Personally, I like such a thicker consistency, but one or the other would have expected something else. More importantly, however, what is offered tastefully. Thanks to the good temperature, a clear, sweet carrot taste could develop on the tongue. This was not a potato soup with a carrot, but really a taste characterized by the orange beet. The addition of curry was a bit more subtle. This means that this diverse aroma did not appear in the power of Indian or otherwise Southeast Asian cuisine. Apparently there were more to the more tasteless turmeric, which would also justify the beautiful yellow coloring of the soup. Since no Indian or oriental soup was announced here, but only “only” a “Möhren-Curry soup”, the result is therefore completely successful in the desired and especially for me tastefully. Even the sprouts made a welcome change with simple bitterness, while the well-decorated white bread delivered something “to bite”. This is the only way to remain the perhaps misleading consistency that could be criticized by this court. What you really cannot complain about in view of the delivered goods is the price-performance ratio, because for this meal only 5.8 € were required. After this lunch in the “Cafebar” I would like to leave a good tip, as both the ambience, the staff and, above all, the food have fulfilled my hope of a light and relaxed lunch in the summer weather. I definitely have a recommendation.
Great coffee! Nice stylish place. Great service! what do you want more? Super Kaffee! Netter moderner Stil. Und großartigen Service! was will man mehr?
Unfortunately the yoghurt and the avocado bread took over 50 min zu arrive. The food was good however, portions we’re small.
