Unfortunately the yoghurt and the avocado bread took over 50 min zu arrive. The food was good however, portions we’re small.

This small place on the corner of Hüxstrasse-Balauerfohr makes ready with its name klipp and clear what kind of gastronomy you enter here. Outside view. The “Cafebar” is already striking from the outside with the pitch-black paint, which is now rarely found in the Lübeck city centre. But you don't have to worry as a guest here, this is a scene for the Wave-Gothic scene. The reggae sounds already audible during passing clearly illustrate this. It is therefore intended to be a very relaxed and youthful starting point, which can provide both a good start into the day, a good lunch rest and also a relaxing drink evening. The middle was also my intention to fill my stomach in a light way on this hot day. Interior view. The interior also clearly continues this “deep relaxation” motto. The floor-to-ceiling windows are also furnished with pillows as seating options, which make the whole place even more open. So there is a flowing transition from the indoor to outdoor area, which is of course just perfect in summer. The numerous patches and the change of partial brick optics and the search for boarder fitting, which is supplemented with a few pictures, also contribute to the successful decoration. Only the toilet has probably no longer seen any renovations, but was by no means dirty. Two young ladies kindly greeted me and considered the current hygiene rules exemplary. After checked negative test, I took place at a small table in the interiors and got the card immediately. In the meantime, a question about satisfaction and fleeting, as well as friendly cashing and farewelling rounded off a good service that would not have missed a little more from this special warmth of heart to perfect performance. The card makes the start here with several pages of various hot, cold, alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks. Follow this, according to the daily run, breakfast and porridge variants. Panini, sandwiches and bowls provide the basis for cocktail evenings. In addition, the card always decorates a current “Daily Soup”. That was a carrot-curry soup that met my appetite very well and I immediately ordered. "Daily Soup": carrot curry soup. After a short waiting period, the portion was served in a beautiful curved terrine on a slate substrate along with two slices of toast. There is already a plus point for the presentation, which has also been embellished by a few violet sprouts and a carrot. The first spoon revealed a great surprisingly fresh-hot soup. The optics have already deceived a little by the higher vessel, because steam did not rise from the surface. With regard to consistency, however, it must be clearly stated that it was rather a type of porridge than a more liquid soup or cream soup. This speaks for a known binding with a good portion of potatoes. Personally, I like such thicker consistency, but one or the other might have expected something else. More importantly, however, is of course what is tasteful. Thanks to the good temperature, a clear, sweet carrot taste could develop on the tongue. So that was not a potato soup with carrots, but really a taste characterized by the orange beet. The addition of Curry was somewhat more subtle. This means that this diverse aroma did not appear in the power of Indian or otherwise Southeast Asian cuisine. Apparently, there was more to the more taste-neutral turmeric, which would also justify the beautiful yellow coloring of the soup. But since no Indian or oriental soup was announced here, but just “only” a “Möhren-Curry soup”, the result is therefore completely in the intended and especially for me also succeeded in taste. Even the sprouts brought a welcome change with ease of bitterness, while the well-decorated white bread delivered something “to bite”. Thus, in the bottom line, only the perhaps misleading consistency that could be criticized at this court remains. What you can really not complain about in view of the delivered but is the price-performance ratio, because for this meal only 5.8 € were required. After this lunch I also liked to leave a good tip in the “Cafebar” because both ambience, staff and, above all, food have fulfilled my hope of a light and relaxed lunch in summer weather. I definitely have a recommendation.
