Stopped here for a coffee and cake. Lovely cafe on the promenade with both indoor and outdoor seating offering the most scrumptious cakes and refreshments. They also make and sell numerous marzipan products and sweets. Very friendly staff. View all feedback.
Fantastic marzipan cake and very good coffee. Service was swift and friendly. The shop is also to die for. A worthwhile visit
An upperend coffee shop with confectionary and cake, specialised in marzipan but with a full restaurant menu too. On a good da,y sit at a pavement table to enjoy the holiday atmosphere, on a cooler day go upstairs and watch large ships passing very close...by up to Lubeck
We went here to taste the cakes, the cappuccino was great. I recommend trying their famous marzipan cake. Service was ok
Our original intent was to browse the candy wonderfully crafted marzipan. Then we saw a sign by the elevator for lunch that day they offered Swiss veal in cream sauce. That did it! Though it was pricy, it is one of our all time...favorites. We should have asked though about it. It was topped with lots of onions yellow peppers which is not the way we've had it in Switzerland. But it was good nevertheless. Though it was difficult to chose from among the vast dessert selections, the hazelnut torte was the star of the meal. From the windows you can see the new fountains down the block and the old Rathaus just across the street. This is not a beerhall setting, rather relaxed fine dining
This cafe is well worth a visit. Lots of seating so never too busy. Great selection of food and local cakes. Waitresses dressed in costume and are friendly and helpful would recommend
