Thus, the local sons of Hamburg, which originated naturally in that great Hanseatic city in the neighborhood, used an empty-standing property of a small bakery in February 2021 to open a branch in the real queen of the Hanse. The big second lockdown has been overcome thanks to delivery and pick-up offers, so fortunately it is possible for me to try this newbie on the ground for the first time. The large, floor-to-ceiling windows of the façade provide a view into the small interior, which takes up half the counter area held in black tile optics. The windows welcome the guest, especially with the stewardship of the restaurant founders, otherwise the outside view is not a big eye-catcher. To a handful of table and seat parts on the walkway, there are 3 tables in the small interior, where you can also comfortably accommodate upholsteries integrated into the window benches. When I arrived later in the afternoon, 3 employees were two young men and a young woman on site. Ordering is offered either directly at the counter, but also service at the table with menu via QR code. One of the gentlemen welcomed me openly and immediately accepted my already fixed order. For reasons of solidarity, masks under the chin still feel less sympathetic, but in this 30-degree-hot day you can also understand it a little. Also in the further course he convinced with friendliness and communication, but there was no demand for satisfaction in the meantime. The addition of Bowls Greens in the name of the restaurant highlights the culinary orientation. Here one wants to go full with the current trend of different bowl and salad dishes with hoped healthy plus, of course, especially for young guests. These are, however, not only vegetarian-oriented, but also available with meat and fish additions and thus offer a wide variety of choices. Also, various interpretations of the well-known ramens, as well as, for the snack on the hand, put Bagels on the menu. For the latter, there has already been a point of contact at the Obertrave in Lübeck for some time, which at that time could not fully convince me “Nui Ramenbar” . That is why my interest in this first visit of the sons of Hamburg was precisely this court and the hope of being able to meet a deeper taste here. In concrete terms, my choice fell on the omnivorous variant with the noodle soup made from Miso and chicken broth, which according to the map egg, chicken, as well as sprouts as insert should be added and which cost 8.9€. Sons of Hamburg's Miso-Nudel : Noodle soup, Miso, chicken broth, egg, sprouts, chickens, also corn, spring onions, carrot rasps, edamame and sesame. The portion served after 15 minutes has been the same as the price. It was already visually a small difference to the ramen soup that I had already tasted in Lübeck, because it was almost a pasta dish with a little more liquid than a soup with inlay from the ratio of liquid to solid components. Surprisingly, spring onions, corn, edamame, carrots and sesame were joined to the great mountain. From the temperature, it was still pleasantly warm, without evaporating hot, which at the prevailing temperatures did not get so uneasy. Of course, the most important thing was the taste of the basis of every ramen dish: the broth. I had to tip the rather wide bowl very much to get a spoon without insert. But the more prosperous, because the soup, which is slightly cloudy here, I liked more of saltiness and cordiality than I remember from the nui. You could not complain about the thinner noodles as well as about the freshness and crispness of the veggies. Well, the chicken strips then reminded very suspiciously of the packaged refrigerated shelf product available in the opposite supermarket, but it could not be expected otherwise in view of the price Sauce. But at least they were once again supplied with some roasted notes in the pan. A ramen soup for the priority to be discarded and, above all, the deep greenness of the taste that I want is not found here even in the “sons of Hamburg”. But if I look at the court as a whole, there is no bad impression. The broth still had taste and the further additions were well chosen, as they ensured both the crispness of corn, edamame, sprouts, suppleness noodles as well as the heartiness chickens and nutty crunch sesame. The required price is therefore really appropriate for me and has been paid by me. Thus, my personal conclusion after this first test at the Hamburg Bowl and Salat ambassadors is as follows: the facility and service are inviting but actually rather made for a short stay in between. Of course, the food offer follows a trend that is currently widespread, but has a rather rarer dish with the ramen. This is definitely not the fulfillment for purists and traditionalists, but is not a bad figure overall and is above all reasonably priced.
