Cafe Wren
Description
Nestled beside the Gandy Dancer trail, Cafe Wren pairs carefully prepared sandwiches, soups, bakery treats and standout drinks with a light, art-filled atmosphere. Outdoor backyard seating, a coming-soon Common Room and a small retail selection of local goods create a relaxed, family- and pet-friendly stop for bikers, travelers and locals. The nut roll is phenomenal! The drinks were delicious as well. I even purchased a souvenir glass I enjoyed it so much. Will be back everytime I pass through or use the gandy trail.
This is an amazing little cafe, worth a detour and a must-visit if in the area. We were in town hiking on the Ice Age Trail, needed a really good lunch, and had the most delicious and satisfying meal here. The service was friendly and our food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The menu is small but ambitious with options for everyone. I had the roasted chicken banh mi and it was so flavorful. The bread they use is incredible; crisp on the outside but then so soft once you bite in. I would go out of my way to return here. Lots of seating, very clean, wholesome atmosphere, and extremely good food. Thank you!!!
I absolutely love this place! They truly pour a lot of care into their food and drinks. They also offer excellent gluten-free pastry options. The chocolate beet cake is simply outstanding!
Love this place. One of the best coffee shops in polk county for close to 20 years.
